VIDICOM was founded by Peter Bardehle in January 1996. Since its creation, the company has produced a large number of top-rated, prime time TV documentaries on science and history.
Our factual programs meet the highest international standards and are driven by strong storylines sure to capture the attention of television audiences the world over. Many of our productions feature professional re-enactment and high-end Computer Graphics. We also own one of Europe's biggest film archives for aviation history.
At the core of all VIDICOM projects are strong characters. We do not produce PR stories. Even though our productions have often been very successful in competitive time slots, we always steer clear of voyeuristic tendencies. Our aim is to be true to the people we portray in our films.
Our American and international project partners and broadcasters include Discovery International, National Geographic America and NatGeo International, Travel Channel US and PBS / WNET.
We also work with and for many major broadcasters and producers all over Europe like ARD, ZDF and ARTE (Germany / France), Channel 5, RDF and HRH Prince Edward's Ardent Productions (United Kingdom), RAI and Paneikon (Italy) and TV2 (Denmark).
VIDICOM is a member of European Documentary Network (EDN) in Copenhagen.
