VIDICOM founder Peter Bardehle graduated from Henri-Nannen-School of Journalism. His first jobs were with newspapers. From 1986 to 1993 he held assignments as news reporter, editor, and anchorman within the ARD network and ZDF. Prior to founding VIDICOM as an independent production company, he headed SAT.1's documentary division from 1994 till 1996. During his career, Peter Bardehle won the "Prix de Strasbourg" of Strasburg University, a John J. McCloy Fellowship of the American Council on Germany, and the RIAS commission's television award. Together with Kris Karathomas he was recently recognized with the prestigious Ludwig-Bölkow-Award for their 90 min long documentary on the history of man powered flight, "Magic of Flying". The award, named after a German flight pioneer, was donated by the European aviation group EADS. Peter Bardehle took his Masters' degree at Munich University in 1987 and spent one year as a researcher at the United Nations' headquarters in New York. He earned a doctorate at the University of the German Federal Armed Forces with a dissertation on UN peacekeeping. He regularly works as a supervisor for graduate classes in journalism. Andrea Mokosch joined Vidicom in 2009 for a traineeship as a producer/director. She graduated as a journalist from Bremen University. She is a self-confessed foody who spent a semester in India to discover the different levels of the Scoville scale. Anke Gehrmann is managing Vidicom's production office. She holds a degree in Cultural Studies and Journalism from the University of Leipzig. After working for a UN human rights project in the Navajo reservation in Arizona, she freelanced as a reporter in Cuba.
