Broadcasters

Our documentaries are broadcast by major TV networks all over the world. A lot of them drew impressive audience ratings in highly competitive, prime time slots.

National Geographic Channel

National Geographic Channel was our first prime partner in international distribution. For TV audiences in more than 20 countries, NatGeo decided to buy Elephant Island, a production that has also been sold to all other major markets. This success was repeated by Avalanche Angels, our action-packed documentary on rescue dogs.

Discovery International

Discovery International first worked with us on The Atlantic Race, a two-part special on the fierce international competition to build the airship of the future. Atlantic Race was followed by an even bigger co-production: Titanic of the Sky, a high-end documentary that tells the story of the "Hindenburg's" tragic last voyage in a way it has never been told before. Our Productions are also shown by other international members of the Discovery network like EXN (Discovery Canada).

Travel Channel

Travel Channel US, a division of Discovery Networks, reaches more than 60 million homes in the United States with compelling stories about popular destinations and travel-related themes. Two VIDICOM productions broadcast on Travel Channel are The Concorde Story and Titanic of the Sky.

ARD

ARD ran some of our most successful productions: When Rose Battle (Die Rosenschlacht) premiered in ARD´s prime documentary slot on Friday night, it achieved a market share of 22.2%, or 5.5 million viewers, beating programs like ZDF´s main news show "heute" or SAT.1´s popular "Ran" football show. The documentary also had several successful re-runs. Wedding in Paradise (Heiraten im Paradies) also drew a top rating with more than 4.5 million viewers on its first run.

ZDF

ZDF was our German partner for the international co-production Titanic of the Sky, which proved a massive success when it started the documentary series "Hell Rides" (Höllenfahrten) in a prime time slot. Other VIDICOM successes on ZDF include The Concorde Story, a ZDF special that received major media attention and top-ratings, the visually stunning Desert Prince (Der Wüstenprinz), Elephant Island (Insel der Elefanten) and The Real Star Wars.

arte

ARTE, the joint French/German channel renowned for its high- quality productions, is one of our most frequent clients. Giant of the Sky (Zeppeline haben Zukunft), a one-hour documentary on the fascinating past and future of airships, was our first production for ARTE's "science & découverte" and "histoire" slots. Other examples of VIDICOM programs on science and history broadcast by ARTE are Victoria's Secret, The Bridge and our exclusive piece on air craft carriers, Fortress of the Sea.

Deutsche Welle TV

Deutsche Welle TV (DW-TV) is the only German program serving a world-wide audience. VIDICOM's portrait of Leo Kirch (Der Mogul) for DW-TV provides exclusive insights into the incredible life story of one of the most powerful media tycoons in history. DW-TV also broadcast The Rose and our award-winning, two-part documentary on the decisive battle of the cold war, Berlin Heroes.

NDR

Just like VIDICOM, NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk) is based in Hamburg. NDR successfully aired The Hindenburg Disaster (Die Katastrophe der Hindenburg), Flying Boats (Dinosaurier der Lüfte) and many other of our programs on history and science.

WDR

WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) is the public broadcaster in Germany´s largest federal state, Nordrhein-Westfalen. Most of our documentaries broadcast on ARD were originally commissioned by WDR and had successful re-runs on WDR 3.
